You know what completely throws me off? When people put seemingly fitting lyrics under their sad, angsty graphics and you imagine some slow folk ballad in a minor key before you’ve even listened to the song
And then you look it up on Youtube and for some reason it’s this upbeat dance tune
not that upbeat dance tunes aren’t great because they are but it’s just like, “what I was imagining these non-existent violin notes accentuating this character’s pain and the music swelling to a crescendo to demonstrate hope what”
